Eye Bolts

Eye bolts are constructed of forged and hardened steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, and titanium, among other materials. Eye bolts made of aluminium are available, although they are not as strong as steel eye bolts. Anti-corrosion properties can be found in both hot dipped galvanised and stainless steel, although stainless steel cannot be hardened like carbon steel.

Load-rated eye bolts are offered for applications that need simply vertical lifting. For angular lifting, load-rated eye bolts are not recommended. The primary purpose of nut eye bolts and shoulder machinery eye bolts is to lift and hold loads that are pulling straight down. For angular loading, only use shoulder nut eyebolts.
